A Maori-style 3D terrarium background that combines a natural forest look with intricate, traditional ornaments. A massive tree trunk structure is interwoven with flowing spiral patterns and carved ornaments, and a striking circular spiral relief in the centre, typical of Polynesian and Maori motifs, gives it a mystical, nature-bound look.

It looks like a magical old tree with traditional carvings, and it is functional too, with plenty of room for animals to climb, rest and hide.

Details

  • Maori-inspired spiral patterns and ornaments on a tree trunk with a tree root and mushroom look.
  • Fine wood grain and organic lines, like an overgrown, ancient tree with carved symbols.
  • Several natural platforms and ledges, like rocks or branch steps, for perching, climbing and viewing, for animals such as geckos, anoles or small agamas.
  • Many climbing, resting and hiding spots that encourage movement.

Where it works

Tropical and semi-humid terrariums, gecko, anole and small agama enclosures, leopard gecko and bearded dragon setups, arid reptile and invertebrate enclosures, and naturalistic vivariums.

Good to know

  • To anchor it in an aquarium, glue it to a flat stone or acrylic sheet with hot glue or superglue, or bed it in with aquarium-safe silicone. Drilling a few small holes in the base also lets water in and reduces buoyancy.
  • Measure the inside of your enclosure before ordering, and leave a little room for installation.
  • Some photos show hand-painted examples. This piece ships unpainted.

Colours

First choose a finish (Basic, Matte, Marble, Sparkly/Galaxy/Metallic or Glow-in-the-Dark), then pick a colour from that finish. Sparkly/Galaxy/Metallic includes our Galaxy, Sparkly and Metallic colours. There are 89 PETG colours in total, and the colour charts at the end of the photos show each one. Quality and care

Printed slowly at high resolution with thick walls, so it is sturdier than most printed decor. Fine layer lines and small variations are normal and make each piece unique. PETG is non-toxic and easy to clean with soap or alcohol. Colours can look slightly different on screen.

  • Canada and the United States: we prepay all duties, tariffs and import fees. The price at checkout is your final price, with nothing to pay on delivery.
  • United Kingdom, Europe and the rest of the world: import VAT, duties or a carrier handling fee may be charged on delivery, depending on your country.
  • Returns: Unused items can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Contact us first and we will send you a return label. Outbound and return shipping are deducted from your refund. Damaged or defective items are replaced or refunded at no cost. See our Refund Policy for details.

Delivery times

Your piece is printed after you order it and ships within 7 business days. That part is our guarantee. Everything below is the carrier's, and starts the day your parcel ships rather than the day you order.

We use recognized, tracked carriers on every route, to every region. Once a parcel leaves our workshop it is in the carrier's hands, so delays caused by the carrier, by customs or by weather are outside our control and we cannot be held responsible for them. If a parcel stalls, contact us and we will chase it with you.

  • Canada: 2 to 8 business days after shipping, through local delivery partners. This service does not deliver to PO boxes.
  • United States: 2 to 6 business days after shipping. A customs broker clears the shipment, usually the next business day after it reaches a branch, and it crosses the border within two business days. United States territories, Alaska, Hawaii and military addresses (APO and FPO) can take up to 20 business days.
  • International: 5 to 22 business days after shipping, with full tracking.

I absolutely love the 3D glow-in-the-dark background I purchased for my crested gecko's enclosure! It added so much character and made the whole habitat look amazing.
