Stillwater Self-Watering Bonsai Planter

Choose one planter: Original Ripple or one of five additional Stillwater patterns. Each includes one PLA outer pot and a removable PETG self-watering insert. Plants and soil are not included.

A modern self-watering bonsai pot with a low, balanced silhouette and a soft ripple texture inspired by gentle water movement. It is quiet and minimal from above, while the textured outside adds depth in changing light.

The two-part system is made for indoor bonsai. It gives a cleaner, more controlled way to water, with less daily checking, and keeps the look of a traditional bonsai bowl.

How the self-watering insert works

• The outer pot holds a small water reservoir.
• The removable PETG insert lifts the bonsai soil above the water line.
• Moisture moves up by capillary action, so hydration stays more stable without roots sitting in water.
• Fill the reservoir with water and assemble. Watering is passive, with no electronics or pumps.

Good to know

• Use a bonsai soil mix that wicks moisture well.
• Some bonsai species prefer to dry out between waterings. For sensitive species, do not keep the reservoir full all the time.
• PLA can soften with heat, so keep it away from hot cars, heaters and long periods of direct sun.

Colours

First choose a finish (Basic, Matte, Silk+, Wood & Marble/Stone, Sparkle/Galaxy/Metal or Multicolor), then pick a colour from that finish. The colour charts at the end of the photos show each one. Want something that is not listed? Contact us and we will try to source it.

The PETG insert comes in Matte Black unless you pick another colour in the insert menu. All 89 PETG colours are available for the insert.

Quality and care

Made using the designer’s print settings. Fine layer lines and small variations are normal and make each piece unique. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Colours can look slightly different on screen.

Need a different size?

The standard sizes are not the limits of what we can make. Width, height and depth can often be adjusted while maintaining the pot and insert fit. Small changes often do not materially affect the price. Message Molten Modern with your dimensions for a custom quote.

Insert finishes: PETG is available in Basic, Matte, Marble, Sparkly/Galaxy/Metallic or Glow-in-the-Dark, with 89 colours in total. Sparkly/Galaxy/Metallic includes Galaxy, Sparkly and Metallic colours. Choose the pot and insert independently.
