Magnetic Skull Hide | Gothic Skull & Round Backplate

A hollow skull sits against a round, wood-textured backplate, bringing a gothic focal point to a terrarium wall. Its magnetic mounting makes it a compact elevated hide or decorative accent. Choose a contrasting skull and backing for a bold look, or matching colours for a subtler finish.

• Material: PETG, resistant to water and humidity. Keep clear of direct contact with heat lamps and other heat sources.
• Floats: Printed PETG pieces can float because they contain air. For aquarium use, secure the base with aquarium-safe silicone or a suitable aquarium adhesive as described under “Good to know”.

• Included: one magnetic skull hide with its backing and mounting magnets. Plants, substrate and other display accessories are not included.

Size

Size 1: 10.1 × 4.2 × 10.1 cm (width × depth × height when mounted). These are exterior dimensions, not entrance clearance. Tell us your enclosure wall thickness so we can confirm mounting suitability.

Colours

Choose two colours independently: use Piece 1 Finish / Color for the skull and Piece 2 Finish / Color for the round backing. These choices refer to the two colour regions of one assembled hide, not two separate hides.

First choose a finish (Basic, Matte, Marble, Metal-Like or Glow-in-the-Dark), then pick a colour from that finish. Metal-Like includes our Galaxy, Sparkly and Metallic colours. There are 75 PETG colours in total, and the colour charts at the end of the photos show each one. Want something that is not listed? Contact us and we will try to source it.

Need a different size? The listed variants are convenient standard sizes, not the limits of what we can make. Width, height, depth and proportions can often be adjusted to better fit your enclosure. Good to know

• Anchoring in an aquarium: Bond the base to a flat stone or acrylic sheet with aquarium-safe silicone, or with hot glue or cyanoacrylate superglue specifically suitable for aquarium use. Follow the adhesive manufacturer’s surface preparation and full curing instructions before placing it in the aquarium.
• Magnetic mounting: suitable holding strength depends on wall thickness and placement. Keep loose magnets away from children and animals. Unsealed magnets should not be submerged.
• Measure the inside of your enclosure before ordering, and leave a little room for installation.
• Some photos show hand-painted examples. This piece ships unpainted in your selected filament colour.
