This open cave has an ancient character, ideal for terrariums and aquariums with a desert or savanna theme.

It looks like a remnant of an ancient culture, carved into weathered sandstone, with relief-like symbols on the inner walls and two irregular entrances leading into small vaulted chambers, like an archaeological site.

Details

  • Designed to be partly buried and placed against the front pane, creating a rock face with a cave system.
  • Two entrances leading to small vaulted chambers.
  • Suits desert-dwelling species such as geckos, skinks, agamids or tarantulas, and burrowing fish in a desert or ruin-themed aquarium.

Where it works

Freshwater and nano aquariums, shrimp and betta tanks, terrariums, vivariums and paludariums, reptile, amphibian and invertebrate enclosures, naturalistic builds, and tabletop gaming, D&D and wargaming scenery.

Good to know

  • To anchor it in an aquarium, glue it to a flat stone or acrylic sheet with hot glue or superglue, or bed it in with aquarium-safe silicone. Drilling a few small holes in the base also lets water in and reduces buoyancy.
  • Measure the inside of your enclosure before ordering, and leave a little room for installation.
  • Some photos show hand-painted examples. This piece ships unpainted.

Colours

First choose a finish (Basic, Matte, Marble, Sparkly/Galaxy/Metallic or Glow-in-the-Dark), then pick a colour from that finish. Sparkly/Galaxy/Metallic includes our Galaxy, Sparkly and Metallic colours. There are 89 PETG colours in total, and the colour charts at the end of the photos show each one. Quality and care

Printed slowly at high resolution with thick walls, so it is sturdier than most printed decor. Fine layer lines and small variations are normal and make each piece unique. PETG is non-toxic and easy to clean with soap or alcohol. Colours can look slightly different on screen.

Shipping, duties and returns

  • Free shipping to Canada, the United States and select European countries.
  • Canada and the United States: we prepay all duties, tariffs and import fees. The price at checkout is your final price, with nothing to pay on delivery.
  • United Kingdom, Europe and the rest of the world: import VAT, duties or a carrier handling fee may be charged on delivery, depending on your country.
  • Returns: Unused items can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Contact us first and we will send you a return label. Outbound and return shipping are deducted from your refund. Damaged or defective items are replaced or refunded at no cost. See our Refund Policy for details.

Delivery times

Your piece is printed after you order it and ships within 7 business days. That part is our guarantee. Everything below is the carrier's, and starts the day your parcel ships rather than the day you order.

We use recognized, tracked carriers on every route, to every region. Once a parcel leaves our workshop it is in the carrier's hands, so delays caused by the carrier, by customs or by weather are outside our control and we cannot be held responsible for them. If a parcel stalls, contact us and we will chase it with you.

  • Canada: 2 to 8 business days after shipping, through local delivery partners. This service does not deliver to PO boxes.
  • United States: 2 to 6 business days after shipping. A customs broker clears the shipment, usually the next business day after it reaches a branch, and it crosses the border within two business days. United States territories, Alaska, Hawaii and military addresses (APO and FPO) can take up to 20 business days.
  • International: 5 to 22 business days after shipping, with full tracking.
